On Monday June 6, 2011 at approximately 1727 hours, the Ramapo police responded to 23 Rita Avenue in Monsey for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Officers responded to the location and discovered that there were no apparent injuries to the pedestrian or the driver. The circumstances of the accident are as follows:
Frantz Berlier, a 44 year old male from Spring Valley, NY was backing out of the driveway of #23 Rita Avenue when a 2 year old boy rode his tricycle into the side of the car. The boy remained on the tricycle and appeared uninjured; however, Hatzolah ambulance transported the boy to Nyack Hospital as a precaution.
There were no summonses issued regarding this incident.
