On 6/21/11 at approximately 4:34pm the Ramapo police responded to the area of 39 North Saddle River Rd. for a reported natural gas leak. Police units assisted Orange and Rockland Utilities by shutting down North Saddle River Rd. between Homestead la and Grove St. Orange and Rockland was able to shut down the leak but the road will be closed until at least 2:00am so repairs can be made to the gas main. The leak was believed to be caused by a valve that failed. Monsey Fire Department on scene as well.

Ramapo Police Department Blotter: Gas leak
