At approximately 1:15 am on June 25, 2011 the Ramapo Police responded to # 62 Post Rd. in the Village of Sloatsburg for a report of a party in which underage persons were consuming alcohol.
Upon arrival Officers observed several persons appearing to be under the age of 21, the legal drinking age in NYS to be consuming alcoholic beverages in the front of the home. Further investigation by the Officers on scene revealed four persons under the age of 21 had consumed alcohol including the host of the party Paul Gabriel who was subsequently arrested.
Gabriel age 19 was charged with Criminal Nuisance, a Penal Law Misdemeanor and Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Minor, a Misdemeanor of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law. Gabriel was released to a responsible adult and is due in the Village of Sloatsburg Justice Court on July 27, 2011.
Arrangements for safe transportation were made for any person who had consumed alcohol.
