This agency is investigating a report of a weapon being discharged in the Village of Sloatburg. A party contacted the Ramapo Police Department and advised that they had seen a white male with reddish facial hair exit a late model green Jeep Wrangler and take out what appeared to be a rifle. The party further reported that this person then shot the weapon at an animal, and then fled the area northbound on Laurel Road towards Seven Lakes Drive. Several patrol units responded to the area and searched for the vehicle involved with negative results. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Ramapo Police Department at 357-2400.
