Ramapo Police Department Blotter: Pedestrian Struck


On 6/06/11 at approximately 1802 hours the Ramapo Police Department responded to a call of a party down in the area of 16 Park St in the Town of Ramapo. Upon investigation it was learned that a pedestrian was struck by a box truck (2000 International).  The pedestrian was taken to Westchester medical center by Spring Hill ambulance.  At this time the identity of the pedestrian is being withheld because his family has not been notified. The driver of the truck was one Hendry Paramo-Santamder of Spring Valley N.Y.  The Ramapo Police department was assisted by The Rockland County B.C.I. unit along with Rockland Paramedics and Spring Hill Ambulance.  Due to an ongoing investigation by the Ramapo accident investigation unit limited information is available at this time about the accident and the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries.
