Kanton Callistro, age 21 of Bronx, New York pled guilty on November 9, 2009 to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree.
District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 17, 2009 at approximately 2:07 p.m. on Route 59 in Central Nyack, the defendant was in possession of two (2) clear plastic bags containing sixteen (16) chunky white substances, which were crack cocaine.
The defendant absconded at the time of his original sentence date and was recently returned to the Court on a Bench Warrant.
On June 20, 2011, the defendant was sentenced by the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge one and one-half (1 ½) years in State Prison, two (2) years Post Release Supervision and license revocation.
