
Ramapo, NY – Rockland Community College welcomes new students to campus with a new interactive all-day orientation event on August 24, which even includes a barbecue. For students who can’t attend on that day, there are two options for evening orientations, one on August 2, or August 17. New students find it very beneficial to attend orientation and get a head start on their RCC experience.

Refreshments are provided for August 2 and 17, with a barbecue on August 24. Kosher and vegetarian cuisine will be available.

Student Orientation August 2 and 17
Meet faculty and other new students, talk to current student ambassadors, take a tour of the campus and get a better start at RCC with an opportunity to learn your way around and get comfortable before your first day of class. Events include a presentation in the Cultural Arts Theater and an Information Fair. Get your student ID cards, e-mail accounts, and textbooks. Refreshments will be provided. Please check-in upstairs at the Cultural Arts Center.

This orientation is designed to be very interactive, giving students opportunities to have all their questions answered, make friends, and get more involved in their education right from the start. Highlights include an upbeat and entertaining keynote speaker, followed by smaller informative breakout sessions, with topics like, “how to enhance your success at RCC.” After the breakout sessions, socialize with some fun casual activities, an Information Fair, and a barbecue. During this time, students will also be able to get their student ID cards, e-mail accounts, and textbooks. Please check-in at the RCC Fieldhouse.
Parents, please join us in the Ellipse on the first floor of the Technology Center for an informative session on Thursday, August 25, from 5-7 pm.
