RAMAPO, New York – The Rockland Boulders released their second half promotions schedule featuring premium giveaways, special events and surprises for their ever-growing fan base.
After an eight game road trip, the fun begins on Friday, July 29th when the Boulders host the two-time defending league champion Quebec Les Capitales. It will be the first of three Provident Bank Pay Days, as 1,000 piggy banks will be distributed on the three remaining Friday home games during the regular season. Inside each and every collectable piggy bank money will be placed ranging from a $1 to $100 dollars.
“What a way to start the second half of the home schedule as each of the first 1,000 Boulders fans to enter Provident Bank Park will be guaranteed cold, hard cash”, said Ken Lehner President of the Rockland Boulders, “Friday is traditionally pay day so we are going to do just that - pay our fans.”
For the remainder of the season every day of the week will feature a theme with Mondays being Dollar Dog Days, while Tuesdays are being dubbed Townball Tuesdays whereby residents from different towns in Rockland County will receive discounted ticket opportunities. Wednesdays will add a series of heritage nights into the schedule including Italian American on August 3, Latino on August 10, Irish American on August 17 and Jewish American on August 28. These game nights will feature food, beer, music and entertainment all geared toward each respective group. Thursdays are Bang for Your Buck Thursdays, where fans can enjoy select $1 beer and sodas, while fireworks soar thru the air after the final out. Fridays are not only Provident Bank Pay Days, but also as Facebook Fridays, in that anyone who likes the Boulders official Facebook Fan Page can win great prizes.
In addition to fireworks and the Pet Parade, Saturdays will also feature various premium giveaways such as Thunder Sticks presented by Dave & Buster’s on August 20. Sundays will be geared for the young ones, with Sony Sundays. All kids in attendance can run the bases just like their favorite Boulders after the game. Families also have the chance to meet and greet the Boulders on the field, and Boulder Bird, the club’s mascot.
“Minor league baseball appeals to one and all and that is the way we have structured our promotional schedule in the second half of the season,” said Lehner. “We anticipate adding additional promotions so stay tuned.”
