RAMAPO, New York – NFL superstars Jason and Devin McCourty, natives of Rockland County, will be visiting Provident Bank Park on Tuesday, July 19, as the Rockland Boulders host the New Jersey Jackals in a 7:05 p.m. Can-Am League baseball game.
Jason McCourty of the Tennessee Titans and his twin brother Devin McCourty of the New England Patriots will be signing autographs during their visit to Provident Bank Park. They will also be throwing out the first pitch before Tuesday evening’s contest. They plan to join Seth Cantor and Carmine Vetrano in the radio broadcast booth for a midgame chat with the Boulders’ fantastic radio crew.
Jason and Devin McCourty both attended St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey, before being recruited by Rutgers University to be cornerbacks for the Scarlet Knights. Devin was redshirted for his first season at Rutgers before starting four consecutive seasons for the Scarlet Knights. Jason started three years at cornerback, and graduated a season before his identical twin brother.
Jason was drafted in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. In his first two seasons, he has recorded 76 tackles and two interceptions for the Titans.
The New England Patriots drafted Devin the following year in the first round of the NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he made 82 tackles and intercepted seven passes to help him finish second in AP Defensive Rookie of the Year voting to Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh.
