Brockton 8, Pittsfield 6
The top of the order leads the way for Brockton as the Rox edged the Pittsfield Colonials 8-6. The 1-2-3 hitters of CF Chris Valencia, SS Dom Ramos and RF Keith Brachold combined to go 6-for-11 at the plate with two home runs, five runs scored and five RBIs. Brockton starting pitcher Robert Bono notched his third win of the season after allowing four earned runs on eight hits in five innings of work. Pittsfield RF Jerod Edmondson and 3B Johnny Welch each had three hits in the loss.
