On 7/10/11 at approximately 1242 hours the Town of Ramapo Police got a report of a motor vehicle accident on North Airmont Rd. and Par Rd. in the Village of Montebello. It appeared a 2011 Toyota mini Van was traveling south bound on N. Airmont when a 2001 Buick sedan (Traveling North on N. Airmont) struck the mini van.
Ramapo Valley Ambulance responded to the Scene along with Rockland Paramedics and Spring Hill Ambulance. Tallman Fire Department also responded to the scene to assist paramedics in opening the Drivers door on the 2001 Buick. The driver of the Toyota Mini van was one Pamela Frankel (37 year old female from Monsey N.Y.). She was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the 2001 Buick (one Dominic Emma a 77 year old male of The Bronx N.Y.)was also transported to Good Samaritan via ambulance for what appeared to be a fractured leg and back and neck pain.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated by the Ramapo Police Accident Investigation unit. The Ramapo Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact this department at 845-357-2400.
