Hudson River Romp


As part of the Hudson River Fish Advisory, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County will be hosting its second annual “Hudson River Romp” on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 4pm to 8pm at Pecks Pond in West Haverstraw this event is open to the public free of charge.  Activities include: games, stories, crafts all geared toward learning about the fish advisory provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension. The Advisory, under the guidance of the state health department provides education concerning chemical pollution in the Hudson River fish which is of primary concern to women of child bearing age and children under 15. The activities at the River Romp teach about which fish to avoid as well as appropriate ways to prepare fish that is edible. Come and join in the fun on Thursday August 11, from 4pm to 8pm.
